Scholarship
The Citrus Community Concert Choir has a mission, to award scholarships to Citrus County students who are going to pursue a music degree at the college level. This is why we present three concerts a year and charge a $10.00 admission fee, which goes toward our scholarship fund. This is why we reach out to businesses in the area to advertise for a nominal amount in our programs and this is why we asked friends, families, and people in the community to donate to our scholarship fund. These scholarship recipients are our future, these are the youth who will continue to share their love of music now and throughout their careers.
In the year 2022, The Citrus Community Concert Choir gave four $1,500.00 scholarships to four Citrus County students, two of them graduating from local high schools and two already in college getting ready to finish their degrees. The four scholarship recipients are: Amber Losciale who is a senior at Citrus High School and will be attending Florida State University in the Fall to achieve a degree in Music Therapy, Joy Evans, a senior at Lecanto High School who will be attending Brenau University in the Fall and will be majoring in BFA Theater Production and Design, Stephen Lane who will be graduating this Spring from the University of Florida with a degree in Music and Ashley Evans who will graduating this December from the University of West Florida with a degree in Music Education.
Congratulations students! We cannot wait to see where your careers will take you and what you will accomplish! We would like to thank the “Chronicle”, our biggest sponsor, along with many other businesses and community friends who make these scholarships possible for these worthy students. We would also like to thank our local schools for giving these students the opportunity to excel in the music and the arts. Please join us at our future concerts and help us make dreams come true!
Citrus Community Concert Choir
Since 2003 we have offered scholarships to deserving students continuing their education at the college level majoring in music arts. If you are a high school senior graduating this year, you are a current college student, or you know of a student residing in Citrus County who is continuing their education majoring in the music arts, we urge you to download and complete the Application. To qualify, the CCCC Scholarship Committee must receive your Application by March 31 of this year.
